Bio: I’m a Kanien'kehá:ka woman from Kahnawake and a proud Ista to my beautiful daughter, Autumn Brooke Kanerahtokwas Diabo, 23 years old. Having my daughter at 18 years old, I became determined to set a good example to her by returning to school, obtaining post-secondary education through Dawson & Vanier College, working as a Veterinary Nurse, later attending Concordia University in First People’s Studies and Sociology & working each summer at a variety of jobs through the Summer Student Tewa Program. My focus has been to work in the medical field and I am now attending a licensed Practical Nurse Program in Ormstown that will be completed in February 2020 to work in Human Nursing.
