Animation @ Sk'aadgaa Naay Elementary School
Not only working with the Tahayghen Elementary School students in Masset AND with Gidgalang Kuuyas Naay Secondary School students in Queen Charlotte, we also got to work with students in Skidegate!
Another seriously EPIC animation was created at Sk'aadgaa Naay Elementary School with grade 5, 6 & 7 students!
Day one May 8: Students first learn to animate the letters of their names. Then they decided on and created a storyboard for the The Man Who Became an Eagle and animated half the scenes!!!
Day two May 9: Students in grade 7 finished animating The Man Who Became an Eagle. Then they animated the film's title and all their names!
Day three May 10: The NOW musicians travelled to Skidegate to present their Onomatopoeia workshop to students at Sk'aadgaa Naay Elementary School. Lisa M, Caden, Mike, JP and Sheldon then worked with students to compose original sound effects and music for their film.
This film will also screen May 17th at the Haida Heritage Centre @ 7pm!!!!
