Pikangikum on ZOOM - Wednesdays continue
Way to keep going on your project Randy!
Nov 10 - Randy brought mentors Nadine and Lisa his rough edit with images and video, he also read his script as he played his timeline. It was incredible! You could see where his film was going and how his visual treatment was strengthening his script! A big shoutout needs to go to Randy as he learns Adobe Premiere on his own. These zoom workshops are a challenge since we are missing the in-person connections and assistance. Randy is filming and importing his footage and editing on his own time and figuring it out on his own.
When we meet on zoom, Nadine and Lisa (besides giving artistic critique) are empowering Randy with ways he can google information and watch you tube videos to help him learn the editing program as he goes. For instance, this time, they all learned together how to record voice over right onto the timeline, and it worked! In this way Randy could consider his script and re-edit it in preparation for recording it later.
Filmmaking is always about troubleshooting and we are lucky to live in a time when we can google ‘how to’ and get an answer…sometimes technology is our friend. ;)
Randy plans to record video and audio for next week.
Nov 17 - Bravo Randy! You met your goal!
Randy found a place with a cool background and created amazing lighting (eye light!) and recorded himself reading his script! Gorgeous!
Randy’s film currently starts in black then moves into landscapes until the end when he talks directly into the camera…it feels like he is talking directly to YOU, the VIEWER!
Randy met with Nadine the day before and made some major edits based on her critique!
WOW, this piece is really coming along!
Looking forward to next Wednesday!!!
