Bella Bella - workshop day three
Today Elle joined us and started work on a project. Elle has worked on numerous projects with Our World and had many ideas! Welcome back Elle! She did tons of research, wrote her intro and organized an interview for tomorrow! Fast work!
Eryn jumped right into editing and placed all her imagery AND text AND sound effects! Eryn’s piece won’t have spoken voice but will use text to tell her story. It is a beautiful story that really highlights Eryn’s photography skills! Eryn learned the editing program super quick! She wants to add some music tomorrow. This film is SO charming!
Jimmy edited on the weekend and brought in 3 whole new clips to add to his timeline! One was even output at 1:50AM! Now there is a dedicated filmmaker! The new clips have a super youthful energy. He edits in the app for his drone. He adds transitions, effects and titling! Good work! Jimmy also worked on titling and audio editing in the Davinci editing program…his piece is pretty much done!!! So he will sleep on it and make any final tweaks tomorrow. Awesome! Jimmy heads to Vancouver on Wednesday so he has been working toward this goal of completion by Tuesday!
Aaliya and Laurence continued to work on their drawings for their animation puppets. They are working on 2 characters, and a whole bunch of hands and a bear in three poses so far. They are both having fun with the drawings ! They even started to animate their intro. They are using green screen …soooooo COOL!
Danny completed his animation!!! Danny animated to his audio edit so the movements match the laughter and sounds of his character. It is so funny! Then he drew more characters to use in his credits. Wow, this film is also almost done!
Latoya worked on her script and recorded the audio. It is hard to find a quiet place, the Big House had music playing so she ended up using the bathroom at the Youth Center. She edited the audio but doesn’t want it to sound too formal or stiff so decided to take the recording gear home and try again tonight. It is great to see when someone knows what they want and works to make it happen. Filmmaking is hard work! Latoya also recorded some b-roll in the big house for her film!
The mentors ate croissant sandwiches and salad! We also had white cake with salmon berry compote and cream! Thanks Lori for organizing!
