Kangiqsujuaq - Workshop Day 7
Today Sebnem completed the poster for the screening. Thanks to Markusi, a student learning Inuktitut, for helping translate into Inuktitut.
The posters are printed and all the mentors are ready to poster the community, first stop: Pingualuit National Park Office again to also buy the Elders an additional present. We take a moment to look at the exhibit as well.
When at the Municipal Office the mentors find out from Alasi & Mary that the Inuktitut is wrong! It says “NO food” and talks about “arm veins”…OOOPS. Apparently these are mistakes made often by students. So we get a handwritten new translation and run back to the residence so Glenn can make the new and improved poster!!
Then we RE-poster the community: Arena, Qaggiq, the Northern, the school, the Co-op, the Municipal Office, the Museum!!

Back to the Residence the mentors work on final tweaks and outputs for the screening as well as gifts and all the screening preparation. Tomorrow we share the stories with the community….!!
